Darren has seven Atlantic crossings under his belt as well as passages up the Eastern Seaboard of the USA, Bermuda and South America.
He gained extensive experience in the Caribbean and Western Mediterranean.

- Throughout his childhood, Darren has been sailing dinghies and cruising yachts. By nineteen, he was discovering the ports of the Irish Sea and Scotland; crossing the Biscay in 1983, spending his twenty first in Gibraltar. He first crossed the Atlantic in 1989 in his Hustler 25.5 class yacht navigating with sextant and a trail log.
- He then spent 18 years in the Caribbean gaining his Yacht Master Offshore and Dive Master Certifications, while delivering yachts and working in the charter industry and for private clients. During his time in Antigua he participated and helped organise Antigua Race Week, Classic Yacht Regatta, and the Annual Charter Yacht Show amongst others.
- He has seven Atlantic crossings under his belt as well as passages up the Eastern Seaboard of the USA, Bermuda and South America. He gained extensive experience in the Caribbean and Western Mediterranean. During this time he was responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of every aspect of the vessels he has skippered, whether technical or administrative.
- Now based in the UK, he has been working on Wind farm boats, dive support vessels, tugs and for private clients for Yacht Point Service.
